We get the gear to you. All our Hiking Gear is rated for use in the Abel Tasman.

To hike the Abel Tasman Great Walk you need a large 65 to 70 litre backpack that fits your height. Anything less will not hold all your required gear. To carry a tent you will need a 70 litre backpack. Sleeping bags will need to keep you warm down to 5 degrees at night. Tents need to cope with rain up to 3000mm rain rated. Cookers need to be fit for purpose and mats need to be thick enough to give you a good nights sleep. When you hire from us we put you in our register to make sure you stay safe, at no cost to you.

To hire camping gear or hiking gear for the Abel Tasman Great Walk or just to trek around Golden Bay contact us. Bookings must be at least 1 day in advance but we run out of hire gear in summer so book now. Price for a basic kit of name brand equipment the cost is $75 per person for up to five days, I D is required. Or hire only some items if thats all you need. How do we get it to you?  Pick up from  Kaiteriteri Sandy Bay Road just 6km Marahau or at from the Sea Shuttles at Kaiteriteri but we are a mobile service to better help you. We do hire almost everything that you need including coffee makers. All our equipment is name brand and fit for purpose. If you lose or damage equipment this replaced at your cost. The Abel Tasman Great Walk does not have phone coverage for much of it. You are welcome to give us details of your walk so we can tick you off as returned safe and well. This is a free service but we do require personal information from you.
